HOA Residential Parking Permit Zones by Board Vote
A draft ordinance would let HOA boards request or dissolve residential parking permit zones with a simple majority board vote. That could change street parking rules in HOA neighborhoods without a resident-wide vote.
Short-term rental definition and licensing
Short-term rentals don't currently fit the city's rental licensing rules. Staff shared the County's definition — stays under 31 consecutive days, capped at 180 days per year — and proposed counting them as rental dwelling units subject to city licensing.
3000 Jamestown Rd Variance Support (V-18-26)
The city sent a support letter to the Board of Zoning Appeals for a variance at 3000 Jamestown Rd, covering lot area and side/rear yard setbacks.
Accessory Dwelling Units Ordinance (CB-074-2026)
The city is commenting on county legislation to allow ADUs, required statewide under HB 1466 by October 2026. Council split over whether the letter should push for no parking requirements and no fire sprinkler mandate, and agreed more community outreach is needed before the county's fall hearing.
